PARKING LOT LINE STRIPING
Throughout Dallas and Fort Worth, parking lot striping is one of the most important property improvements to business owners. Proper pavement markings are critical for guiding employees, visitors, and other pedestrians around your parking areas and building. Faded or diminished parking spaces, access isles, crosswalks and traffic flow markings not only look unprofessional and uninviting, they could also lead to accidents. A well-defined, properly marked parking lot will maximize safety, visibility and traffic flow.
The Coppell, Texas heat will fade parking lot markings. At Stripe King, we provide only the highest quality professional traffic and zone marking paints available from name brands you can trust such as Sherwin Williams, Standard Paints, PPG and Ennis Flint. These brands specifically feature high solid counts that are specially formulated to stand the test of time in the Texas elements.
STRIPING REMOVAL
Removal of old or outdated pavement markings is sometimes necessary in certain circumstances. Markings can be removed via mechanical or chemical means. Common mechanical methods include grinding, scarifying and shot blasting. Chemical methods include an environmentally friendly stripper to dissolve the paint then it is usually pressure washed or scraped away. Our pressure washing crew utilizes a 10,000 psi hot/cold water wash system that can easily and effectively remove water borne paints.

- Mark the Layout: We use chalk, paint or tape to mark the layout of the stripes, including parking spaces, handicap spaces, and any other designated areas.
- Apply the Paint: We use a paint machine or roller to apply the paint. There are several types of paint to choose from, including water-based, oil-based, and thermoplastic.
- Allow the Paint to Dry: Allow the paint to dry completely before allowing vehicles or pedestrians to use the area. The drying time will depend on the type of paint used and the weather conditions.
- Re-marking: In some cases, It’s important to re-mark the lines after a few months to maintain visibility and safety.
Stripe King DFW follows all safety precautions and uses the appropriate equipment and materials for the specific job. Our team will work with you to determine any local government regulations and obtain any necessary permits before starting the work
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PARKING LOT NEEDS TO BE RE-STRIPED?
We suggest that you contact us to restripe your lot every 3-4 years, but if you have a very busy parking lot with little to no shade, you may need to restripe more often. If your Fire Lane has turned pink, this is a definite indicator it is time to call us and schedule your service.
HOW QUICKLY CAN I REOPEN MY PARKING LOT AFTER IT’S BEEN RESTRIPED?
Zone marking paints dry very quickly once they have been applied. Within 20 minutes, they are touch dry and vehicles can drive on the markings 2 hours after they have been applied.
CAN I GET FINED OR TICKETED IF MY LINE MARKING IS FADED?
Yes. Throughout Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas, The City Fire Marshal’s office will inspect fire lane areas on a regular basis to ensure they are bright red, visible and the verbiage “Fire Lane No Parking” is stenciled in white 4” lettering, typically every 25 feet.
CAN LINE STRIPING BE REFLECTIVE AT NIGHT TIME?
Absolutely. It is commonplace, especially on highways and airfields. We have the equipment and trained operators to embed type I, II or III reflective glass beads into zone marking paints.
